I recently decided to get a couple wireless mice for my laptop. It’s not a gaming laptop, nor do I play games, so I didn’t need anything expensive. I also didn’t want something that would be a huge loss if it were to go missing. Anyone who’s carried a wireless mouse along with their laptop knows how easy it is to lose or break one. I decided to purchase the Jelly Comb 2.4G Wireless Mouse from Amazon.
Jelly Comb: You Get What You Pay For
It’s true. And if you know what you actually want, it’s a good thing. In my product review, I talk about what this mouse is and what it isn’t. Hint: it’s not a gaming mouse. That being said, I tested it on a 2013 model iMac and a Windows 10 laptop with no issues. I did have a quick pop up on the iMac asking to configure an ‘unknown keyboard’ which I dismissed. That notification never came back and probably is an artifact of the included nano receiver (likely sold with keyboards as well).
The price point on this mouse is on the very low end so check your expectations at the door. The Jelly Comb mouse works well but if you drop it on a hard floor, it’ll probably break. It comes with no battery included (normal for this price range). It has a super quiet click and built-in sleep mode to preserve battery life.
The Jelly Comb mouse includes a scroll wheel that looks like a 360-degree rotating ball, but don’t be fooled – it’s not. And to be fair, they never advertise it to be such.
